What is Gonstead Chiropractic?

Gonstead Chiropractic is "hands on" spinal adjusting. Gonstead practice has been the leader in chiropractic techniques for several years and has often been referred to as the Gold Standard of chiropractic technique. This type of practice relieves nerve pressure from misalignments. Locating those misalignments in the spinal column (specifically called vertebral subluxation) and gently adjusting the segments back into place almost immediately relieves any pain or discomfort.

Through Gonstead Chiropractic pressure is removed from the nerve while the joint fuction is restored. Restoration of the nerve function and the path of the specific nerve is once again sending and receiving "electrical" impulses. This practice ensures a biochemically correct position.

Who was Dr. Gonstead?

Dr. Clarence S. Gonstead (1898-1978) is essentially the father of Gonstead Chiropractic. Gonstead began practicing in 1923 in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. As his practice grew, hundreds of patients were seeking his care on a daily basis. Dr. Gonstead began an "unparalleled chiropractic treatment facility and staffed it with Gonstead trained associates."

The official Gonstead Clinic of Chiropractic was completed in 1964, making it the most "renowned chiropractic facility in the world."

"Find the subluxation, correct it, and then leave it alone" - Dr. Gonstead.
